Image online 🌍

Display images from a webcam, Dropbox or other places online. PinToMind will retrieve the image which is online continuously as it is being updated. 

The image-online-post can only display files of the types PNG and JPG and must have an https-address.

The address you add must be complete and start with " https://" and end with "filename.jpg" (or png). The Image online-post has the same display options as the image-post on PinToMind.

Instructions for displaying images online from common programs

💡Image online posts can be used in various ways; webcam which displays traffic or any other place of interest. The post can also be used to display sales-statistics, weather data, energy consumption etc. which is added as a web address by other programs. If you have images which are updated regularly on your public screens, - eg. statistics, schedule or roster - you can add this image to Dropbox, and the public screen will retrieve the newest image.

Display image from Dropbox

  1. Log in at dropbox.com.
  2. Select to share a file in Dropbox. 
  3. Paste the URL of the image into the address-field in an Image online-post. 
  4. Change the ending of the url from dl=0 to dl=1 at the end, click "save" and it is supposed to be displayed properly. In certain cases, we have also experienced that adding the ending raw=1 instead of dl=1, works well. 
  5. Select the display option you want and publish to the screen/s you want to display it on.

If you experience problems with displaying images from Dropbox on Samsung Tizen, you can try changing the prefix in the link, from https://www.dropbox.com/... to https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/... .

Display image from OneDrive

  1. Log in at onedrive.com.
  2. Open the image you want to share.
  3. Select "</> Embed"
  4. A side menu with a text box is now displayed. Select "original size" and deselect "include HTML tags".
  5. Copy the URL and paste it into the Image online-post.
  6. Select the display option you want and publish to the screen/s you want to display it on.

Display image from Google Disc

  1. Right-click on the image you want to share from Google Disc.
  2. Click "Get a link".
  3. Choose that everyone who has the link should be able to use it.
  4. Click "Copy link"
  5. Find the ID from the link (Eg.: Link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bEDAFuD5ZPiVexAL4Al56hyqJ3THqSlU/view?usp=sharing ID: 1bEDAFuD5ZPiVexAL4Al56hyqJ3THqSlU)
  6. Paste the ID in the following link: https://drive.google.com/thumbnail?authuser=0&sz=w1920&id= (Example: https://drive.google.com/thumbnail?authuser=0&sz=w1920&id=1bEDAFuD5ZPiVexAL4Al56hyqJ3THqSlU)
  7. Paste this entire last link including ID into a Image online-post.
  8. Select the display option you want and publish to the screen/s you want to display it on.
